DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Vutika respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains our copyright position and how to submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) or equivalent local law.

1. How Vutika Works

Vutika does not host, store, index, cache or distribute any video or audio content. When you paste a link, the file is resolved from the originating platform in real time and streamed directly to your device. Nothing is retained on our servers after the request completes, and we do not maintain a searchable library of third-party media.

2. Intended Use and User Responsibility

Vutika is intended for creators saving copies of content they created themselves, content they have permission to use, or content they otherwise have a legal basis to download. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use complies with copyright law and with the terms of the platform the content came from.

3. Submitting a Takedown Notice

If you believe Vutika has been used in a way that infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@vutika.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Your notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the specific URL(s) so we can locate it.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

4. Our Response

We review every complete notice and typically respond within 5 business days. Because we do not host content, our remedies include blocking specific source URLs or domains from being processed by the Service and, where appropriate, restricting access for the user involved. We will also direct you to the originating platform, which hosts the material and can remove it at the source.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe material was blocked in error or through misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your signature, identification of the blocked material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, and your name, address, telephone number and consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court.

6. Repeat Infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, block or restrict access for users who are repeatedly the subject of valid infringement notices.

7. Misrepresentation

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.

8. Affiliation

Vutika is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., X Corp., or TikTok / ByteDance Ltd. All trademarks and brand names are the property of their respective owners.
