This Privacy Policy explains how Vutika ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Vutika service (the "Service"). Vutika is built around a simple principle — no signup, nothing stored — and this policy describes exactly what that means in practice.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Vutika does not require account creation, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or payment information to use the core Service. We do not build user profiles.

2. Information Processed to Provide the Service

When you paste a post link, we process that link and the associated public media file in order to retrieve and return it to you. The link is resolved in real time, the file is streamed directly to your device, and neither the link nor the file is written to persistent storage or logged after your session ends.

3. Technical and Log Data

To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, our infrastructure providers may automatically collect limited technical data, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser/device type and operating system
  • Timestamps of requests
  • Basic error and performance logs

This data is retained for up to 30 days for security, fraud-prevention, and debugging purposes, and is then deleted or anonymized. We do not use this data to build individual user profiles or link it to any download content.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.

5. Advertising

We do not display third-party ads and do not share data with ad networks.

6. Third-Party Platforms

Vutika retrieves content from Facebook, X, and TikTok based on links you provide. We are not responsible for, and this Policy does not cover, the privacy practices of those platforms. Please review their respective privacy policies for information on how they handle your data.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited technical data described in Section 3 with hosting, CDN, or infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf solely to operate the Service, or with law enforcement or regulators where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public. We do not otherwise share, rent, or trade user data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect data processed through the Service. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@vutika.com so we can address it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding any personal data we hold about you, which may include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of that data, and the right to object to certain processing or to data portability.

  • EEA/UK (GDPR): You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

11. International Transfers

If you access the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your data (including limited technical data described above) may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a different country, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

12. Retention

Where we do process any data (see Sections 3–5), we retain it only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, additional notice will be provided.
